The hunt for a man has been launched after an incident on a ScotRail train travelling from Glasgow.

The incident took place on May 23 on a train that departed Glasgow Central for Kilmarnock around 11.14pm.

British Transport Police has released an image of a man they believe can assist them with their investigation.

They described the man as 5’7 tall, in his 30’s with dark hair and stubble as well as speaking with an Ayrshire accent.

He was said to be wearing a patterned jumper, beanie hat, green knee length shorts and khaki Adidas trainers.

The authority has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Anyone with information is urged to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016 quoting reference 2400065504 of May 23.

“Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
