An appeal has been launched after a man was seen filming up a woman’s skirt without her knowledge on Glasgow train.
British Transport Police said the incident happened on the 1.27pm train from Uddingston to Glasgow Central on Wednesday.
It occurred in the vestibule area of the train between 1.30pm and 2pm as passengers were getting ready to leave the train from the city’s Central Station.
Officers have now appealed for the victim and the woman who first reported the incident to contact police.
A statement read: “If you were the victim or witnessed the incident take place, please contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 341 of December 10.
“You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
‘Upskirting’ involves the use of a recording device to take explicit images underneath a victim’s clothing without permission and often undetected.
It has been a crime under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act since 2010.
