Police are appealing for information after the “serious assault” of man in a pub in Inverclyde.
A 42-year-old man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock after the assault inside a pub on Ann Street at around 11.30pm on Saturday, August 4.
The injured man was released after treatment, police said.
The male suspect is being described as being of Asian appearance, with a slim build and dark-coloured hair.
Detective Constable Rebecca Cox said: “Our inquiries are ongoing as we establish the details of this incident and trace the man responsible.
“We are continuing to study CCTV footage and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with personal footage that may assist us to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0089 of August 4.
“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
