Hunt for man after Domino’s pizza place set on fire

Police are keen to speak to a man after a Domino’s was deliberately set on fire in East Ayrshire.

The pizza place, on Glasgow Road in Kilmarnock, was targeted at around 1.15am on Friday.

The fire was extinguished and there was no damage to the surrounding shops. No one was injured.

Following a review of CCTV, police want to trace a man seen nearby.

He is described as around 5ft 10in, of slim build and in his early 20s.

He was wearing black jogging bottoms, a black body warmer with a long sleeved white top and a black beanie style hat.

Detective constable Steven Grey said: “We are appealing to members of the public who may have any information relating to this deliberate fire to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to speak to the man described and anyone else who may have been in the area to get in touch with officers.”

Fire: M & D’s Hair Studio went up in flames.

The fire comes just four days after another deliberate blaze within the town ripped through the back of a hair salon.

M & D’s Hair Studio in Tourhill Road was extensively damaged on Monday morning.

No one was injured and officers continue to investigate.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At this time there is nothing to suggest that there is a link between the two incidents, but investigations continue.”
