A lorry has caused damage to multiple vehicles after shedding rubble along a one mile stretch of the M73.
Officers were alerted to the incident that happened northbound near the Baillieston Interchange around 9.45am on February 8.
The debris was spread along the road for around one mile and affected the slip roads for the M8 westbound and A8 at the Baillieston Interchange.
Police confirmed that a number of other vehicles suffered tyre damage after striking the rubble.
The road was fully reopened around midday after the debris was cleared.
The vehicle involved is described as a “tipper style HGV”, and an appeal has been launched to trace the vehicle.
Constable Michael Aitken said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to identify the vehicle involved and would urge anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
“If you believe you saw this vehicle, or may have dashcam footage from the area then please call 101, quoting reference 0779 of February 8.”
