The hunt for a knife-wielding man who stabbed a pensioner in a vehicle in Glasgow on Tuesday is still ongoing.
Police, including armed officers, descended on Auckland Wynd at around 12.10pm following reports of a serious assault.
A 77-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Pupils at the nearby Riverbank Primary School were able to be picked up as normal.
The area was taped off by police as part of the ongoing investigation.
Images circulating online show an individual with a large knife attacking another man next to a car.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.10pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, we received a report of a serious assault within a vehicle on Auckland Wynd in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended, and a 77-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Officers remain in the area, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
