A hunt for a hooded suspect has been launched after four cars were “deliberately” set on fire in West Dunbartonshire.
Officers were called after a white Audi A6, red Vauxhall Mokka and blue BMW 323 were set on fire on Sunday around 3.50pm.
No one was injured and the blaze was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Police are now looking to trace a suspect who was seen getting into the passenger side of a dark silver car which is believed to have made off toward Whitecrook.
They described the suspect as wearing a navy blue tracksuit with the hood up and their face covered.
The force is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective constable John Pryde of Clydebank CID, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured, but three vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the fire.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we urge anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch.
“We are also keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage that could assist with our enquiries.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2357 of August 4, 2024.”
