iStockPolice are hunting a hooded man after two bikes and a car were deliberately set on fire in Bellshill.
Officers were made aware of a bin and bicycle set on fire on Kirklee Road in the Milnwood area around 1.30am on Saturday.
A separate bicycle was set on fire on Lee Place around the same time. A car within a car park on Milnwood Drive was also set alight at around 2am.
The fires were put out, and there were no reports of any injuries.
Officers are treating the blazes as linked, and investigations are ongoing.
Police say they are keen to trace a man seen in the area at the time wearing a dark hooded top and shorts.
Detective Constable Sandy Orr said: “Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of these reckless acts.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and I am asking anyone who has information that could assist with our ongoing enquiries to get in touch.
“I am keen to trace and speak to a man who was seen in the area around the time, who was wearing a dark hooded top and shorts.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the areas around these times to check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage for information that could assist.”
