Google MapsA gunman opened fire during a disturbance in North Lanarkshire on Wednesday night.
Officers attended an incident on Gateside Road in Wishaw at around 8.30pm after receiving a report of shots being fired.
No injuries were reported as a result of the disturbance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30pm on Wednesday, 14 July, police received a report of a disturbance and gunshots being fired on Gateside Road, Craigneuk, Wishaw.
“Specialist officers attended and there was no trace of anyone injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3502 of Wednesday, 14 July, 2021. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
