Police are on the hunt for a former prisoner who has gone missing – breaching the terms of his licence after being released from jail.

Joe McGee, 32, was released from HMP Greenock on November 9 last year.

Officers have been trying to trace him throughout Renfrewshire, where he is known to have connections, including Paisley, Bridge of Weir, Linwood and Johnstone.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers from Renfrew police station are appealing for anyone who may have seen Joe or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to get in touch.”
