Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a SUV was driven at a man in a “violent attack” in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Saracen Street at 10.15pm on Thursday after a vehicle was driven at a 33-year-old man.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A red SUV-type vehicle made off from the scene, and police have launched enquiries to trace the driver.
Detective sergeant David Whyte said: “This was a violent attack and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace the person responsible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed what happened to please contact us with any information.
“The street would have been fairly busy with passing vehicles so I would also ask drivers with dash-cams to check footage as this may assist in our enquiries. Likewise, anyone with private CCTV around this area is asked to get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 3545 of January 22, 2026. Or if you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
