Police are hunting for a driver after a schoolboy was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Dumfries.
A 15-year-old male was struck by a car as he crossed Brooms Road at the pedestrian crossing near Glebe Street around 3.20pm on January 10.
The teenager was walking home from school when he was struck and suffered minor injuries.
The driver is described as female, aged between 50 and 60 and was driving a Red Renault Clio.
Officers are asking drivers to check dashcam footage and to contact them with any information.
A Police Scotland statement read: “Were you on Brooms Road, Dumfries about 3.20pm on Friday, January 10?
“Whilst walking home from school, a 15-year-old male was struck by a vehicle as he crossed Brooms Road at the pedestrian crossing near to Glebe Street.
“The vehicle is described as a Red Renault Clio, and the driver of the vehicle is described as a female aged 50s-60s.
“The male suffered minor injuries.
“Check your dashcam, if you were driving in the surrounding streets, you may have captured the incident or vehicle.
“If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage contact 101, incident 16055/25.”
