Police are appealing to trace a motorist who left the scene after a five-year-old girl was struck by a car in Kilmarnock.
The youngster was hit by a vehicle on Grassyards Road at the front gate of Kilmarnock Cemetery at around 11.20am on Saturday March 7.
She was taken to hospital for treatment. Her condition is not known.
Police say a blue car initially stopped at the scene but left before officers arrived.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to trace the driver involved.
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV that could assist to get in touch.”
