Eleven-year-old schoolgirl found safe and well following search

Police searching for a missing 11-year-old girl who was last seen near a primary school have confirmed she has been found safe.

Jamie-Lee Harvey was last seen next to Castlepark Primary school in Irvine, North Ayrshire, at around 2pm on Tuesday, before being reported missing.

However, officers have now confirmed the child has been traced.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We can confirm that Jamie-Lee Harvey who was reported missing from Irvine has been traced safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.”
