The blast, which saw the family taken to hospital, took place in Kincaidston, Ayrshire on October 18 last year.

A multi-agency investigation to establish the causes was carried out following the incident.

“Having investigated it fully, the HSE will be taking no further action.”

The family’s home in Gorse Park was demolished following the explosion, which could be heard for miles around.

Another three houses were also demolished, while the gas company also installed a temporary above-ground gas line for homes in the area.
