Police ScotlandA street in East Ayrshire is partially closed after a car crashed into a property, causing a possible gas leak.
Emergency crews were called to Kilwinning Road, in Stewarton, at around 12.50am on Sunday.
Ther driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Residents were evacuated from nearby homes as a precaution following a possible gas leak. Engineers attended and made the area safe.
A cordon and local diversions are in place and members of the public are being advised to avoid the area.
