Homes evacuated as armed police cordon off streets in Glasgow in ongoing incident

A number of homes in Glasgow have been evacuated and armed police have cordoned off streets amid an ongoing incident.

Police Scotland attended a property on Drumlaken Street at around 9.50am on Monday.

Armed police remain at the scene in connection with an ongoing investigation.

Nearby properties have been evacuated, and road closures are in place on Caldercuilt Road, between Arrochar Street and Rothes Drive, and on Arrochar Street at Drumlaken Street.

A spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, December 15, 2025, officers attended an address on Drumlaken Street in Glasgow in connection with an ongoing investigation.

“Police, including firearms officers, remain at the scene.

“A number of nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution.

“There are also road closures in place on Caldercuilt Road, between Arrochar Street and Rothes Drive, and Arrochar Street at Drumlaken Street.”
