A hiker has been stretchered off a Munro by a mountain rescue team after suffering a knee injury.
Lomond Mountain Rescue was called to Ben Lomond around 1.15pm on Sunday after the walker suffered the injury while descending the Munro.
Rescuers assessed the casualty, administered pain relief, and then applied thermal packaging before stretchering them off the mountain.

Lomond Mountain Rescue TeamA team vehicle then made the final transfer to the main Ben Lomond car park in wet conditions.
In a post on Facebook, Lomond MRT said: “Many thanks to the members of the public who assisted ahead of the team arriving – very much appreciated.”
The rescue was the first of 2026 for Lomond MRT, who added it had been a “surprisingly quiet festive period” for the team.
