Harrods will be opening its second Scottish store at a Glasgow shopping centre, it has been announced.
The luxury department store confirmed it will be expanding its standalone beauty concept, H Beauty, with the opening of a new store at Silverburn shopping centre.
H Beauty will take over a 22,500 sq ft unit, which was formerly home to Debenhams, next to the newly expanded Zara.
The department store promises to bring together “premium luxury beauty brands and services from world-leading experts in beauty, skincare, wellness, and hair, all under one roof”.
The store at Silverburn is the brand’s sixth stand-alone beauty concept.
The announcement comes after a raft of new retailers, including Mango and AllSaints, as well as family-friendly restaurants The Real Greek and Stàilinn Scottish Kitchen, have taken over spaces at Silverburn in recent months.
Kingpin Bowling is also set to open early next year.
David Pierotti, general manager of Silverburn, said the announcement was a “game-changing moment” for Glasgow and the West.
“We are committed to providing a best-in-class retail and leisure experience for all our guests, and the attraction of global names such as H beauty is a testament to that,” he said.
“We’re excited to welcome H beauty to Silverburn, and we know that it will prove a massive hit with our guests.”
