Group of youths vandalise Glasgow First bus as policed called to incident First Bus

A large group of youths vandalised a Glasgow First bus sparking an emergency service response.

Police were called to an incident on Sunday, January 14 involving a ‘large group of youths’ on the city’s number 75 service at the bus terminus on Scaraway street in Milton.

First Bus confirmed the incidents were due to a range of anti-social behaviour including the bus being vandalised by the group.

The group also set fire to an item which caused damage to seats and a window on the bus.

Emergency services were alerted by the driver of the bus to the incident as the operator say they are assisting officers with their enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Sunday, 13 January, 2024, police were made aware of a group of youths on a bus on Scaraway Street, Glasgow, having set fire to an item causing damage to seats and a window.

“No one was injured and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
