Bakery giant Greggs has opened up a new store at Glasgow International Airport.
The shop, which welcomed travellers for the first time on Tuesday, will create 30 jobs and will be open 24 hours a day.
It will take over the former Mozzo Cafe store next to the airport’s international arrivals section.
The pastry chain previously had a small presence at the airport in 2010 before closing.
Announcing its opening, Glasgow Airport tweeted: “The wait is finally over, @GreggsOfficial is now open in Glasgow Airport!”
Shop manager Katrina Davidson said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop ahead of their travels.
“We’ve got an amazing range of tasty bakes, hot drinks, sweet treats and savouries available for takeaway or Click + Collect.”
And Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “Our new Glasgow Airport shop has brought 30 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers 24 hours access to a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food before taking to the skies.”
Last month, the company announced total sales of £1.5bn over 2022, with plans to expand across the UK.
The chain opened a record 186 new shops over the year, and closed 39, with new chains opening in transport hubs like Liverpool Street station and Birmingham and Liverpool airports.
