Climate activists have installed a model wind farm on the green at Trump Turberry golf club.
Greenpeace campaigners carried six model turbines, each about ten feet tall, along the beach to the course and erected them.
A sign reading “Choose wind, dump Trump” was put up on the fourth hole.
The action comes in response to Trump’s call to increase oil and gas extraction from the North Sea in a post on social media in which he urged Britain to “DRILL, BABY, DRILL” and “NO MORE WINDMILLS”.
Polling from More in Common for the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit found that roughly two-thirds of Scottish voters believe Britain should not follow the President’s advice.
Lily-Rose Ellis, climate campaigner for Greenpeace UK, said: “Donald Trump wants to keep us as lifetime members of his Gulf Club, where every time he starts an illegal war, bills go through the roof while his fossil fuel backers make billions.

“Wind and solar farms built since the start of the Ukraine war have saved us seven million pounds every day since Trump attacked Iran and drove gas prices back up again. More clean energy that doesn’t rely on the Strait of Hormuz or Russian pipelines can save us money, boost our security and tackle climate change. It’s a hole in one.”
The US president has long voiced his dislike of wind energy, particularly offshore wind, having launched a battle with the Scottish Government to stop a development which was visible from his Aberdeenshire golf course.
Trump International has been contacted for comment.
