Swimming pool transformed into dog-friendly space for season closing event

The Gourock outdoor swimming pool has been transformed into a dog-friendly space as part of the traditional season-closing event.

The pool opened up to the four-legged friends after the last session for humans on Tuesday.

Around 200 dogs dived in at the deep end with their owners, with 40 pooches taking part in each session of the Doggy Dip.

The event was introduced in 2019, with more sessions being put in place to help with the demand.

Lifeguards were on hand to keep an eye on both the humans and the pooches as they enjoyed a final day out at the pool.
