Glasgow subway passengers warned that St Enoch Centre station closed due to power outage

Subway users in Glasgow have been warned that a city centre station has been temporarily closed due to a power outage.

Shortly before 7pm, subway operators SPT announced that the St Enoch Station was closed to passengers and no trains would stop at the station amid the issue.

No customers can access or exit at the station, and have been directed to go to the nearest station on Buchanan Street in the meantime.

It is currently unknown when the station will reopen.

The subway operator apologised for the inconvenience and advised that a further update will be provided when the subway reopens.

A tweet from Glasgow Subway’s travel account read: “Apologies all, St Enoch Station is currently closed due to a power outage.
