A street in Glasgow has been locked down by armed police after a man was injured in a suspected shooting.
Emergency services were called to an address on Crichton Street in Springburn at around 12.40pm on Thursday after reports that a 78-year-old had been hurt.
Specialist firearms officers were deployed to the scene. The man was taken to hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening injury.
Crichton Street is closed at Gourlay Street and members of the public are advised to avoid the area while searches are carried out.
A police spokesperson said: “Anyone with any concerns or information can approach officers, or call 101 using reference number 1478 of Thursday, May 28, 2026.”
