A Glasgow shop worker was taken to hospital after he was sprayed with a substance on Saturday night.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at a shop on Hawthorn Street at around 9.05pm.
The 24-year-old male staff member was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The assailant fled the scene after spraying the substance. An investigation is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.05pm on Saturday, 16 August, we received a report of a man spraying a substance at a staff member at a shop on Hawthorn Street in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the member of staff, a 24-year-old man, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“The man responsible made off and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.”
