Drivers in Glasgow have been warned about a number of traffic light failures across the city.
On Monday morning, motorists reported traffic lights being out across the city.
The council confirmed that there were “numerous traffic signal failures” caused by mains electricity spikes and outages overnight.
Drivers were urged to use caution during their journeys.
Glasgow City Council confirmed that work was ongoing to restore the lights to operational condition.
A spokesperson for the council said: “Due to mains electricity spikes/outages overnight, there are numerous traffic signal failures across the city.
“Please exercise caution during your journey. We are in the process of attending those sites affected and restoring them to operational condition.”
Outages had been reported at St George’s Cross, J2A of the M74 at Cambuslang, Paisley Road West and Dumbarton Road.
