A road in Renfrewshire has been closed in both directions after a pedestrian was knocked down by a vehicle.

Emergency services were called to Glasgow Road in Paisley following reports of a collision at around 3.10pm on Monday.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area at this time.

A police statement read: “Glasgow Road in Paisley is closed due a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Emergency services are on the scene.

“Police were made aware around 3.10pm on Monday, April 28, 2025. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find an alternative route.”
