Glasgow residents are being warned of disruption to their water supply after a main burst on Saturday.
Scottish Water is carrying out emergency repairs following the incident on Pentland Road, which is affecting customers in the G43 postcode area.
They confirmed that engineers are on site to repair a burst water main, which is affecting the water supply to the surrounding area.
Repairs are currently expected to be completed by around 4pm.
Drivers have been warned of possible traffic delays while crews work at the site and has asked the public to use an alternative route where possible.
A spokesperson said: “The burst has been located on Pentland Road. To minimise disruption, we kindly ask that you use an alternative route if possible, as there may be some traffic delays in the area.
“Our teams are working hard to complete the repair as quickly and as safely as possible, with an estimated completion time of 4pm. Once the repair is complete, water service will be gradually restored to affected customers. Please be aware that it may take some time for water pressure to return to normal levels.
“We understand the inconvenience this causes and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve the issue.”
