A signalling fault near Glasgow Queen Street is causing rush hour chaos for commuters.

Network Rail confirmed crews are dealing with a signal fault between Charing Cross and Queen St low level which is affecting a number of trains.

Network Rail says engineers have arrived on site to fix the fault.

Milngavie, Edinburgh, Bathgate, Springburn, Balloch, Airdrie, and Helensburgh services are all among those affected.

A statement from ScotRail read: “Due to a signalling fault between Charing Cross and Queen St low level, services are subject to delay, alteration and cancellation.

“Network Rail are on site trying to rectify the fault.”
