Two men have been arrested after a “nightmare” break-in at a pub in Glasgow.

Inn Deep on Great Western Road was targeted in the early hours of Monday morning.

The pub shared pictures of the damage following the “senseless” incident on social media.

Pub bosses said: “It’s a nightmare for small businesses when stuff like this happens — dealing with police, damage, mess, delayed opening and loss of business.

“Everyone’s affected by this one senseless act, from the staff we employ to the police chasing the culprits round the west end, to the customers who can’t get in, to the thieves themselves when they eventually get chuckled.”

Followers were quick to share their support for the business, with one customer writing: “Our favourite wee place! I’m gutted for you guys!

“The best wee pub in Glasgow. Hope they catch these lowlifes!”

Police Scotland confirmed on Tuesday that two men, aged 47 and 52, have been arrested in connection with the break-in.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two men aged 47 and 52 have been arrested in connection with a break-in on Great Western Road, Glasgow, on Monday, October 21, 2024.”
