A man has been charged over an alleged rape at a property in Glasgow.
Police were called to Bowfield Crescent in the Penilee area of the city on Wednesday morning following reports of a serious sexual assault.
Officers stood guard outside the property, while enquiries were ongoing.
It has now been confirmed a 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged.
A police spokesperson said: “A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in the Bowfield Crescent area of Glasgow, which was reported around 8.40am on Wednesday, September 16.
“He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 17.”
