Police in fresh appeal for man missing for over a week

Police in Glasgow are appealing for help to find a Govan man reported missing for over a week.

Peter Doherty’s current whereabouts are unknown and friends and family are becoming increasingly concerned for him.

He is described as about 5ft 10in , with short brown and greying hair, and blue eyes.

When Mr Doherty, 53, was last seen on April 25, and was wearing a grey and black hoodie, light denim ripped jeans and black and white trainers.

He is known to beg for money in the Govan area but was last seen in Paisley.

Inspector Robert Anderson, of Govan Police station, said: “Peter hasn’t been in contact with his friends or family for a number of days now and hasn’t been keeping to his normal routine which is completely out of character for him.

“We know he was in Paisley when he was last seen, so may have connections in this area that we are unaware of. I would urge anyone who knows Peter or can provide information on his whereabouts to contact police.”
