A pedestrian has died in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.
The 59-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after he was hit by a Ford Fiesta on Kilmarnock Road near to the junction with Holmbank Avenue at 11.30pm on Friday.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he later died.
Police say the 30-year-old driver was uninjured in the collision.
Inspector Andrew Thomson said: “Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family at this sad time.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and would ask anyone who has not yet come forward with information to get in touch with police.
“We’re also keen to hear from motorists with dash-cam footage from the area to come forward.
“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call 101, quoting incident 4320 of March 4.”
