All lines between Paisley and Glasgow have been closed amid an emergency incident in the Crookston area.

Train services from Paisley have been closed amid an emergency incident on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services have been called to the Crookston area of Glasgow due to a “trespass incident”.

As a result, lines between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal station have been closed.

Services are expected to be running as planned from 6.30pm.

It is unknown at this stage if anyone is injured as a result of the incident.

A National Rail statement read: “A trespass incident between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal means all lines are blocked.

“As a result, trains may be cancelled or delayed.

“This is expected until 6.30pm.”

British Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
