An eight-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Broomfield Road at around 6pm on Saturday.
The girl was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
Officers confirmed that the vehicle involved in the incident was traced nearby a short time later as enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 we received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Broomfield Road in Glasgow.
“Officers attended. The pedestrian, an eight-year-old girl, was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
“The vehicle was traced nearby a short time later and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
