A schoolgirl is in hospital after being hit by a car on Thursday afternoon suffering serious injuries.
The 11-year-old was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow following the crash on Glenburn Road, Paisley, around 2.40pm.
Her injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
Police Scotland closed the road while investigations were carried out but it was reopened at around 5.30pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash between a car and a child on Glenburn Road, Paisley, around 2.40pm on Thursday, July 22.
“An 11-year-old girl was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The road was temporarily closed whilst officers carried out enquiries and re-opened around 5.30pm.”
