A supermarket in Ayrshire has sustained major damage as Storm Eowyn sweeps across the country.
The M&S Foodhall in Irvine has had its frontage torn off amid high winds.
Part of the exterior of the building has collapsed, covering the entrance and leaving the inside of the shop exposed.
The store was closed to customers after a red alert was issued for hurricane-force winds which also prompted the closure of schools across Ayrshire and the cancellation of non-urgent care by NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
Irvine is covered by the Met Office red warning which states that flying debris could result in danger to life. Wind gusts of up to 90mph have been forecast.
The store was due to open between 6pm and 8pm on Friday but has since confirmed that it will remain closed throughout Friday.
M&S has been contacted for comment.
