Police have issued a fresh appeal after a man appeared in court charged with the murder of a 22-year-old at a property in Troon.
Callum Pollock was pronounced dead at the scene after officers were called to reports of a man seriously injured following a disturbance within a property at Ramsay Court in Scott Crescent.
The incident took place at around 11.40pm on Saturday, July 6.
James Thomson, 34, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, July 8 charged with murder.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination. He is expected to appear in court again within eight days.
Police have now issued a fresh appeal for a man and woman who they believe spoke to the 34-year-old at Troon station around midnight on the Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
Detective Inspector Keith Runcie said: “Our thoughts are with Callum’s family and everyone affected by his death.
“Our investigations are ongoing.
“We believe that the male who was subsequently arrested spoke with a male and female whilst awaiting a train at Troon railway station around midnight on the Saturday, July 6 into Sunday, July 7, and we would like to speak to these people.
“We would ask that they contact police via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 4300 of July 6, 2024.”
