Four men charged after £2,000,000 cannabis farm found

Four men have been arrested after a large-scale cannabis cultivation was discovered at an industrial estate in Ayrshire.

Police Scotland’s Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team carried out a drugs search warrant at a premises at Ardeer Industrial Estate, Stevenston, on April 4.

The cannabis farm they discovered is estimated to be worth £2m.

Four men – aged 30, 32, 34 and 36 – have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

They are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, April 5.

Detective Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and I want to reassure the people of Ayrshire that we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the community.
