Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has announced an intimate Scottish date on his upcoming European tour.
The legendary Manchester musician will take to the stage with former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire for an intimate show at the Glasgow Barrowlands.
The gig takes place on Wednesday, March 13, with Jake Bugg supporting the iconic rockers in Glasgow’s East End.
Gallagher is also due to play two nights at the sold out OVO Hydro in Glasgow on Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 20.
The Mancunian will also headline Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival in July, taking to the stage on Friday, July 12 with tickets still available for the three-day extravaganza in Glasgow Green.
Gallagher and Squire have collaborated on a new album that is due to be released on March 1 with fans able to pre-order the record and sign up for the first pre-sale on Tuesday, January 30.
A Ticketmaster pre-sale begins on Wednesday, January 31 at 9.30am before the general sale begins at the same time on Friday, February 2.
Gallagher said: “I can’t wait for people to hear the album.
“I think the people that are into the Stone Roses and Oasis and that kinda thing, I think they’ll f****** love it.
“It’s spiritual, it’s crucial. LG x”
Squire added: “It was really inspiring to have those Knebworth gigs fresh in my mind as I started writing.
“Then it was a case of trying to steer it away from all being too rocky, and trying to mix up the sentiments as well.
“I like the way that in some parts, it’s quite melancholic and it can make you well up, but there are other parts that are kind of irreverent, rude or crude.
“There’s a little bit of everything in there, I think it’s a really good mix.
“I had a hunch that we’d sound good together, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be such a good fit.”
