A trampoline park is due to reopen following a police investigation into the death of a ten-year-old boy.
Flip Out Glasgow said investigations at centre have concluded following the incident on Sunday, August 18.
Emergency services were called to the indoor trampoline park on Southcroft Road in Rutherglen around 11am before the boy was taken the Royal Hospital for Children where he was pronounced dead.
Police are treating the death as unexplained but it is not thought to be suspicious. Their enquiries into the incident are continuing.
The boy’s school in South Lanarkshire paid tribute to the pupil following the news of his death, describing him as a “bright and cherished member” of their school community.
A spokesperson from the school said: “We are deeply shocked and saddened to share the heart-breaking news of the sudden passing of one of our pupils.
“He was a bright and cherished member of our school community. He touched the lives of all staff with his humour, joy and curiosity.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. He will be dearly missed and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.”
A spokesperson for South Lanarkshire Council said: “Officers from Environmental Services have completed their investigation into the tragic incident that took place at Flip Out last weekend and have advised the business that they can re-open when ready.”
Flip Out said investigations at the centre have concluded and the park will reopen on Saturday morning.
In a statement on Facebook, Flip Out Glasgow said: “Police Scotland and Environmental Health Officers from South Lanarkshire Council have completed their investigations and have confirmed that Flip Out Glasgow can reopen from 10am on Saturday, August 24.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the 10-year-old boy that became unwell at Flip Out Glasgow last weekend and later died at the Royal Hospital for Children.”
