Five suspects appear in court accused of murdering man in street Police Scotland

Five suspects have appeared at court accused of murdering a man in Glasgow.

Robert Greig, 30, Kieran Crawford, 19, Jamie Fullerton, 19, as well as 17 and 15-year-old boys allegedly assaulted Craig Watson in Dennistoun on April 17, 2022.

Court papers state the five pursued Mr Watson as well as repeatedly punched and kicked him on the head and body to his severe injury and murder.

Mr Watson was pronounced dead around midnight on Sunday at Whitevale Gardens.

Greig, of Dennistoun, Crawford, also of Dennistoun, Fullerton, of Haghill, and the teenagers made no plea at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

They were also committed for further examination.

Greig was remanded in custody by sheriff Brian Cameron and will appear at court again within the next eight days. 

The other suspects were granted bail and their next court date is to be determined.
