Five people have been taken to hospital following a two-car collision in Dumfries and Galloway.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A75 near Gretna at around 11.10am on Monday.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed it had sent a “number of resources” to the scene as the road closed to the public.
Five people have been taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say enquiries into the two-vehicle collision are ongoing and advised drivers to avoid the area at this time.
