Smoke could be seen billowing across Glasgow following loud explosion in the city's east end on Thursday night.

Around 30 firefighters have worked through the night tackling a blaze at a derelict building.

The alarm was raised at 8.40pm on Thursday about the incident in Duke Street, Glasgow.

Six appliances were sent to the scene to tackle the fire.

There were still six appliances dealing with the incident at 6.30am on Friday morning, but that is being scaled down to four.

There were no reports of any injuries.
