Firefighters were called to a Glasgow tenement block on Thursday night after a blaze took hold in a flat.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Copland Road at around 8.22pm.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four engines to extinguish the flames in a third-floor flat.

No injuries were reported during the incident. Crews left the scene once the area had been made safe.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.22pm on Thursday, April 23, to reports of a dwelling fire on Copland Road, Glasgow.

“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene, and firefighters extinguished a fire in a third-floor flat of a tenement building.

“There were no casualties, and crews left after ensuring the area was safe.”
