iStockFirefighters are battling a blaze next to the railway line near Helensburgh with trains cancelled.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are on the scene near the tracks at Craigendoran with services between Dumbarton and Helensburgh cancelled.
Crews sent one appliance to the scene on Cardross Road after being alerted around 9.37am.
Network Rail said the fire is affecting ScotRail services as no trains can pass through.
ScotRail confirmed that Helensburgh to Edinburgh journeys will terminate and resume from Dumbarton Central.
Network Rail said on X: “We’re responding to a fire next to the railway at Craigendoran, near Helensburgh.
“This affects ScotRail services between Dumbarton Central and Helensburgh Central/Upper, with trains unable to pass through the area.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.37am on Thursday, July 23 to reports of a small fire in the open on Cardross Road, Helensburgh near the railway line.
“Operations Control has mobilised one appliance to the scene, where firefighters remain in attendance.”
