Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a derelict hotel which started in the early hours of the morning in West Dunbartonshire.
A fire broke out at the former Dumbuck House Hotel in Dumbarton at around 1.20am on Thursday morning.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said six appliances were initially sent to the scene with four still attending the fire including a high reach appliance.
Police said there have been no reported injuries, but enquiries are ongoing.
Officers have closed the A814 Glasgow Road between the A82 and Oaktree Gardens with local diversions in place.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers are assisting Scottish Fire and Rescue Service following a fire at a derelict building on Glasgow Road, Dumbarton.
“The fire was reported around 1.40am this morning, Thursday, June 27.
“The A814 Glasgow Road is closed between the A82 and Oaktree Gardens. Local diversions are in place and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
“No-one has been injured. Enquiries into the circumstances are at an early stage.
“Anyone with information or anyone with dashcam footage which could assist our enquiries should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0235 of June 27.”
First Bus also advised commuters of closures on the A82.
A post on X read: “Glasgow Rd between Greenhead Rd and the A82 is closed.
“The services are diverting via St James Retail Park, Glasgow Rd, Strathleven Place, Bonhill Rd, Round Riding Rd, A82, Milton.”
