iStockFire crews were called to tackle a large tyre blaze in North Lanarkshire on Tuesday.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Carnbroe Road in Bellshill at around 12.45pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two engines to the scene. Crews extinguished the flames and left the area after ensuring it was safe.
There were no reported injuries.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.45pm on Tuesday, May 26 to reports of a fire in the open near to Carnbroe Road, Bellshill.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a large quantity of tyres.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
