A fire that ripped through the roof of a listed building in Glasgow was deliberate, police have said.
Emergency services were called to the B-listed tenement building on Carlton Place around 8.20pm on Monday following reports of a fire.
Nine fire engines were sent to the scene with crews working throughout the night to bring the “well-developed” blaze under control.
Flames could be seen coming through the attic space of the three-storey building before the roof eventually collapsed.
No injuries were reported.
Police have now confirmed that they are treating the fire as wilful.

This is the second time the building has gone on fire this year.
Five teenagers were rescued from inside on January 27 after a blaze the police said was started deliberately took hold.
The B-listed building has been vacant since 2018.
